I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and Ewe, and a Master of Philosophy in Ghanaian Language from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. My research interest covers Literature, language and culture (Ewe), Notions of masculinity among the Ewe, Corpus. My PhD project is on Folktales and contemporary storytelling: A corpus approach to the study of Ewe narratives. The study seeks to document and analyse Ewe narratives by compiling a corpus of Ewe texts to reflect aspects of the Ewe prose through a means of multi-layered annotation tasks, thereby aiding the development of the Ewe language. The corpus generated from this study will be made public and accessible to researchers from all fields. The study also has the potential of providing deeper insights into the socio-cultural and religious values of the Ghanaian (Ewe) people.
