I am a young woman launching into life,a Master of Arts in Linguistics student at Makerere University Kampala Uganda.I am a teacher of English Language and English Literature and I tutor at Kyambogo University in the Languages and Communication Department. Language and Linguistics are areas I find fascinating so I want to learn all that I can about them.My pet areas of study are Phonetics and phonology,I never get tired of reading anything related to the human speech sound system. Apart from my passion for languages,I love reading for pleasure,writing poetry,short stories and reflections. I love nature and good music too.I am enthusiastic about life and I try to achieve balance in whatever I do.

I speak Rukiga,Runyankore,Runyoro,Rutooro,Luganda.My first language is Rukiga and I have a dream of doing a comperative study of the Rukiga and Lusoga phonotactic systems. I also want to use a corpus based approach to examine Ugandan English as an emerging variety of English.
