I am an associate professor in linguistics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. My field is syntax and lexical semantics. I teach mainly in formal syntax and semantics, but recently I also give courses oriented towards language documentation.

Together with Pavel Mihaylov I have developed TypeCraft.

Together with Kristin Lindbach [[User:Kristin]] and Svenn Egil Knutsen[[User:Svennegil]] I just finished a project in the annotation Lule Sami [[Annotation_of_representative_texts_from_Lule_Sami_-_An_NTNU_project]].

As a linguist I like to work with languages from different language families, so I have work on the Kwa-languages of West Africa, on the Bantu language Runyankitara spoken in Uganda and on Oriya, an Indian language mainly spoken in Indian state Orissa, and lately I started with the documentation of Lule Sami.
