Vi ser at Simon sitt i ei stue me katta på fange
We see that Simon sit in a livingroom with cat on lap

Han sitt i en go lænestol
He sit in a good armchair

Katta våkne og Simon sitt og søv
Cat awake and Simon sit and sleep

Dær kjæm det ei flue som katta gjerne vil ha tak i
There come it a fly which cat ( ) wants have hold in

Opp på borde og riv ne koppen
Up on table and tear down cup

Nå har'n satt sæ fast oppå lampa men Simon, nei katta, e litt for kort
Now has he sat himself stuck upon lamp but Simon, no cat, is little too short

Katta hoppe på lampeskjermen, men e for træg
Cat jumps on lampshade, but is too slow

Flua har no flytta sæ te gardina
Fly has now moved itself to curtain

Katta ser ikke kor den e
Cat sees not where it is

No oppdage'n at den e på gardina bak en
Now discover he that it is on curtain behind him

Han tar fart og hoppe og klore sæ fast
He takes speed and jump and claw himself stuck

Men han e for tung så han bare sig nedover og riv sund gardinan
But he is too heavy so he just sag downwards and tear broken curtains

Og flua kom sæ vekk igjen
And fly came itself away again

Den sitt oppå stolryggen og katta snik sæ inn på'n, men igjen e'n for sein
It sitt upon chair back and cat sneak himself in on it, but again is he too slow

I tillegg klare'n no å ødelegg stolen også
In addition manage he now to destroy chair too

De e'n vill jakt rundt og rundt på stoln og no har flua -- vært i ro på golve
There is a wild chase round and round on chair and now has fly -- been in calm on floor

Og katta får tak i'n og selv om den slår i vei så dør'n ikke
And cat gets hold in it and even if it hits in road so dies it not

Katta ser at flua ligg i ro og dytte litt på'n for å vær sikker på at'n e død
Cat sees that fly lies in calm and push little on it to be sure on that it is dead

Så finn'n ut at'n kanskje ikke e helt død likevel og skjønne at det e en superflue og at det e lurt å gjøm... ligg litt lavt
Then finds he out that it maybe not is completely dead after all and understand that it is a superfly and that it is wise to hide... lay little low

Den gjømme sæ bak en avis
It hides itself behind a newspaper

Og der tar'n den og no trur han at den e helt død
And there takes he it and now thinks he that it is completely dead

Han e fornøyd og vil vis det til Simon
He is satisfied and wants show it to Simon

Det hjelp ikke at'n peike og dytte litt rundt på'n
It helps not that he point and push little around on it

Simon bare ligg helt stoisk og sov
Simon just lay completely stoic and sleep

Han hoppe opp på stolen og legg'en på gensern te Simon
He jump up on chair and lays it on sweater to Simon

Han prøve å dunk litt i'n, men han bare riste litt på sæ
