Vi ser at Simon sitter i ei stue med katta på fanget
We see that Simon sitting in a livingroom with the cat on the lap

Han sitter i en god lenestol
He sits in a good armchair

Katta våkner og Simon sitter og sover
The cat awakes and Simon sits and sleeps

Der kommer det ei flue som katta gjerne vil ha tak i
There comes a fly which the cat ( ) wants have hold in

Opp på bordet og river ned koppen
Up on the table and tears down the cup

Nå har'n satt seg fast oppå lampa men Simon, nei katta, er litt for kort
Now has he sat himself stuck upon the lamp but Simon, no the cat, is little too short

Katta hopper på lampeskjermen, men er for treg
The cat jumps on the lampshade, but is too slow

Flua har nå flytta seg til gardina
The fly has now moved itself to the curtain

Katta ser ikke hvor den er
The cat sees not where it is

Nå oppdager'n at den er på gardina bak han
Now discovers he that it is on the curtain behind him

Han tar fart og hopper og klorer seg fast
He takes speed and jumps and claws himself stuck

Men han er for tung så han bare siger nedover og river sund gardinene
But he is too heavy so he just sags downwards and tears broken the curtains

Og flua kom seg vekk igjen
And the fly came itself away again

Den sitter oppå stolryggen og katta sniker seg inn på'n, men igjen er'n for sen
It sitting upon the chair back and the cat sneaks himself in on it, but again is he to slow

I tillegg klarer den nå å ødelegge stolen også
In addition manages it now to destroy the chair too

Det er en vill jakt rundt og rundt på stolen og nå har flua -- vært i ro på golvet
There is a wild chase round and round on the chair and now has the fly -- been in calm on the floor

Og katta får tak i'n og selv om den slår i vei så dør'n ikke
And the cat gets hold in it and even if it hits in road so dies it not

Katta ser at flua ligger i ro og dytter litt på'n for å være sikker på at'n er død
The cat sees that the fly lies in calm and pushes little on it to be sure on that it is dead

Så finn'n ut at'n kanskje ikke er helt død likevel og skjønner at det er en superflue og at det er lurt å gjem... ligge litt lavt

Then finds he out that it maybe not is completely dead after all and understands that it is a superfly and that it is wise to hide... lay little low

Den gjemmer seg bak en avis
It hides itself behind a newspaper

Og der tar'n den og nå tror han at den er helt død
And there takes he it and now thinks he that it is completely dead

Han er fornøyd og vil vise det til Simon
He is satisfied and wants show it to Simon

Det hjelper ikke at'n peker og dytter litt rundt på'n
It helps not that he points and pushes little around on ot

Simon bare ligger helt stoisk og sover
Simon just lays completely stoic and sleeps

Han hopper opp på stolen og legger'en på genseren til Simon
He jumps up on the chair and lays it on the sweater to Simon

Fortsatt ingen reaksjon
Still no reaction

Han prøver å dunke litt i'n, men han bare rister litt på seg
He tries to bump little inn him, but he just shakes little on himself

Den eneste muligheten da er å legge den inni munnen til Simon
