I am from the University of Dar es salaam, working on language documentation in the southern part of Tanzania. The place is called Songea, and the language is Ngoni. The project involves documenting the culture of the people, writing a dictionary and doing a sociolinguistic survey of how the language has been affected by the dominant language which is Kiswahili.
