I am a student of mathematics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and one of the developers of TypeCraft. I also have a B.Sc. in computer science.

My interests span the three fields Mathematics, Computer Science and Computational Linguistics. In relation to Mathematics, my interests primarily lie within the fields of Algebra, Topology and Geometry, although I occasionally indulge myself in a bit of analysis.

My (first) bachelor thesis in computer science was written for FFI (The Norwegian Defence Research Establishment), working in a group of 6 people. The goal of the project was to implement a specific NATO-communications specification, as well as a standalone implementation of the WS-Notification specification. The publicly available parts of this project can be found at https://github.com/tOgg1/ws-nu.

I am generally interested in anything related to computer science, but have a particular affinity for artificial intelligence, algorithms and computational complexity theory. I also enjoy teaching myself as many programming languages as I can feasibly sustain a healthy relationship to.

In relation to computational linguistics my main interest is applying artificial intelligence, i.e. machine learning techniques, to infer valuable properties of written language.

I am currently the Acting Technical Director of the TypeCraft system. Should you therefore find any bug or issue with the system in any regard, you should send me an email at tormod{dot}haugland[at]gmail(dot)com.
